DAY 1: CASABLANCA - CHEFCHAOUEN:



Today, we'll pick you up from your Casablanca hotel or the airport and bring you to Chefchaouen. We'll stop for a few minutes along the route before arriving in the blue city. In the medina, spend the night in an authentic riad. (BB.)


DAY 2: FREE DAY TO EXPLORE CHEFCHAOUEN:


You'll have the rest of the day free to roam around and see the sights of the blue city. Staying the night at the same riad (BB).


DAY 3:CHEFCHAOUEN - VOLUBILIS - MEKNES - FES:

After breakfast in your riad, you'll depart for Fes via Ouazzan and Volubilis, a Roman city. After a few hours of driving, you'll arrive in Volubilis, the well-preserved Roman empire dating from 225 BC, where you'll find some of Morocco's most stunning mosaics dating from the 3rd century BC. You will be given a guided tour of the site and will learn a lot about the Roman Empire while doing so. After that, we head to Meknes, Morocco's Ismaili capital. In Meknes, we witness the Sultan My Ismail's intriguing gate Bab Mansour, as well as the granary and the Sahrij Souani, which are utilized for irrigation and cultivation. The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail is also included in your tour. We next proceed to Fes via the motorway. At the medina, spend the night in a posh riad.


DAY 4: EXPLORING FES:


After breakfast in your riad, you will begin your exploration of Fes, Morocco's "Spiritual City." You will spend the entire morning exploring the Medina and its alleyways, visiting most of the cultural and historical sites of importance, such as the famed Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the world's oldest), the Medrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. We'll take you beyond the Medina after lunch to see the Royal Palace entrance, walk through the Jewish quarter "the Mellah," and then visit a pottery cooperative. In the afternoon, we'll take you to one of the fortresses for a breathtaking panoramic view of Fes' entire Medina. The same riad will be your home for the night (BB).


DAY 5: FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA:

We'll leave after breakfast and head south through Midelt and Errachidia to the Merzouga desert. Your first stop will be in Ifrane, dubbed "Morocco's Switzerland," before continuing on to Merzouga through Midelt and the Ziz Valley. You'll get sights of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains during this excursion. Stopping in the world-famous cedar woodland, Morocco's largest. The Barbarian apes will be on display for you to witness. As you approach Errachidia, you'll note how the environment transforms to offer indications of the desert. Following lunch in Midelt, your journey continues down the magnificent Ziz Valley, with stops along the way for panoramic views. We'll travel to Erfoud via Berber settlements, then to Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. When you arrive at Merzouga at the end of the day, you'll be greeted with a drink of mint tea and a camel ride to view the sunset in the center of Morocco's highest sand dunes, where you'll spend the night. You'll spend the night at our desert camp, where you'll have your meals.


DAY 6 : SAHARA DESERT - TODGHA GORGES - DADES VALLEY:

Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch one of the most beautiful sunrises you've ever seen. Following that, you'll return to your riad on a peaceful camel trek, taking in the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, which change with the light as the day progresses. You'll leave for Tinghir and Todgha gorges after breakfast and a hot shower in a traditional guesthouse. It's one of Morocco's tallest and narrowest gorges. You'll be able to hike along the valley's length here. We'll travel through the Dades Valley, where you'll see magnificent sand castles and the incredible "monkey toes" rock formations. In the heart of the Gorges, we'll stay in a riad or a guesthouse. (breakfast and dinner).


DAY 7 : DADES VALLEY - AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH - MARRAKECH:

We'll travel through the Dades Valley on our way to Ouarzazate and Kalaat M'Gouna. The route through Dades Valley is known as the Way of a Thousand Kasbahs, and it offers numerous opportunities to capture some of your best photographs of the trip. We'll make a pit stop in Kalaat M'Gouna, or "rose city," to buy rosewater, which will keep your linen smelling fresh long after your trip is over. Proceed to Ouarzazate, known as "Africa's Hollywood." Lunch will be served at Morocco's largest Kasbah, Ait Benhaddou. It is listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Many films, such as 'Lawrence of Arabia' and 'Gladiator,' have used it as a backdrop. Our journey continues through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the magnificent Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260 m). We visit women's cooperatives to learn about the process of making Argan oil before arriving at your hotel in Marrakech, where the tour concludes.
